Our History
Lutembe Inland Beach was originally meant to be a man made lake for fishing. A steady stream of water was flowing onto the land from the surrounding hills, making it water logged, and perfect for fish farming. When work was started on the lake in Jul 2009, the sheer beauty of the land, and the serenity it provided was irresistible and this led to the idea of a beach. When the lake was big enough, the fish were added and work on the beach begun. Special care was taken to conserve the environment and a number of 'green' activities were implemented throughout its creation.
Major work on the beach was finished in 2012, today the beach is up and running with a wide variety of leisure activities taking place. The pleasure beach now attracts both local and foreign tourists daily.
